Research interests:

Our research interests are at the crossroads of bioinformatics, genomics, machine learning, and aimed at improving the use of big data in animal production. Genomics has taken an important place in the industry with the use of now routine large-scale genotyping in several animal production sectors. In addition, smart farms now produce a large amount of data (big data) allowing real-time monitoring of breeding conditions and animal productivity. Our research projects aim at maximizing the use of this massive dataset by developing integrative computer tools combining all the expertises of the lab. We also aspire to instil new research perspectives in animal production and welfare through our interests in systems- and chrono-biology.
